2009 OFSAA GIRLS' "A" Basketball
Registration Day
Wednesday, November 25, 2009
Registration: 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
All teams should plan to arrive at Holy Trinity between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 25th, 2009. Teams should enter using the school's main entrance. Parking is available on the right as you enter the school laneway. Please remember that it is a regular school day and that classes end at 3:35 p.m. so traffic will be heavy from 3:20 p.m. to 3:50 p.m. The registration desk will be located in the school atrium. Please call Sarah Lauzon at (613) 936-0319 ext. 413 or email sarah.lauzon@cdsbeo.on.ca to book a time for your OFSAA picture and practice time. To facilitate scheduling and help avoid wait times, teams should plan to register, get their team picture taken, and practice (if they so desire) during the same time frame. If your practice is scheduled at St. Joseph's, it is approximately a 15 minute drive from Holy Trinity.
Please remember to present copies of all completed documents and cheques at the registration desk.
Documents:
(1) Signed Copy of completed AELS Registration
(2) Signed Rules of Behaviour Form
(3) Signed OFSAA Photo Policy Form
Cheques:
(1) $425 Entry Fee - Payable to "Holy Trinity - OFSAA"
(2) $25 Banquet Fee (per individual) - Payable to "Holy Trinity - OFSAA"
(3) $2 OFSAA Participant Fee (per student-athlete) - Payable to "OFSAA"
Once registered, you will collect the Coach and Athlete packages and take your Team Picture.
Practices: 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Each team will have a designated practice time on a "first come, first served" basis. Please call Sarah Lauzon at (613) 936-0319 ext. 413 or email sarah.lauzon@cdsbeo.on.ca to book the practice time for your team. You will have access to a full court for 45 minutes. Student-Athlete Social: 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
There will be a compulsory social for all athletes between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in the Holy Trinity Atrium. It is an opportunity for the athletes to meet before the tournament officially begins. Food and drink will be provided. Please dress in clean casuals.
Coaches' Meeting: 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The compulsory coaches' meeting will take place in Holy Trinity's school library at 7:00 p.m. The Referee-in-Chief, OFSAA official, and tournament convenors will outline the tournament schedule, rules and regulations. Food and drink will be provided.
4 Minute Shooting Competition: 8:00 p.m.
After the Evening Social and Coaches' Meeting, everyone will report to the Holy Trinity Gym for the 4 Minute Shooting Competition.
