Safe thought for Qualifying Procedure (comparatively to Time Standards)

We acknowledge that with the Top 50 (18 + 32) list, arranging swimmers, travel, and hotel rooms will be difficult.  In looking back on the past years of events, we RARELY have 50+ swimmers in events.  This was when we were using qualifying times. As a guideline, if a swimmer achieves the old OFSAA qualifying times from 2019, they are very likely going to be in the Top 50 (18 + 32) and will be attending.

Open Swimmer Appeals

High school coaches who have swimmers participating in recreational or non-competitive swim programs may petition for eligibility in the High School Division to the Chairperson of the OFSAA Sport Advisory Committee for Swimming or designate. Swimming Appeal Applications must be received by December 31st, 2022. NOTE: All petitions that are approved will expire at the end of the school year and must be re-petitioned by December 31st annually.  Once the request has been reviewed, a message will be sent to (information to be provided).
