Accepting Applications For “Play To Lead” Until June 30

Jumpstart’s Play to Lead program will be accepting applications until Friday, June 30 at 11:59 pm through the online application portal at Play to Lead | Jumpstart (canadiantire.ca). The program is completely FREE, as part of efforts to continue removing financial barriers to access.

Play to Lead will be running in both Edmonton and Toronto this year, welcoming 100 girls and their coaches for an in-person 2 day Leadership Summit in the fall, followed by a series of 30 minute online workshops that will run into spring 2024!

The Play to Lead program is designed for female athletes of any sport that will be in grades 9-12 for the 2023-24 school year, and their coaches. Should participants and their coaches require travel support to get to and from the Summit, efforts will be made to help coordinate transportation within reasonable distance from the Summit location. Hotel accommodation will also be provided at no-cost to all participants & coaches in Edmonton, and as needed in Toronto.

The goal is provide young athletes and coaches an amazing opportunity to build their leadership skills and raise the bar for gender equity in sport!
