STATEMENT FROM OFSAA PRESIDENT CAROLYN CHESNEY

The Executive Council of OFSAA is very pleased to announce the appointment of Shamus Bourdon as the organization’s new Executive Director.

Currently an Assistant Director for OFSAA, Bourdon will transition into the new role beginning July 4, 2022. Bourdon takes over for Doug Gellatly, who will retire next month after 16 years as executive director.

Bourdon brings 25 years of experience in education and sport management from his work as a teacher-coach, department lead and athletic director in secondary schools. He joined OFSAA in 2014 and also previously served as Manager of Sport. He will now transition to overseeing all administration, day-to-day business operations and the governance model for the not-for-profit education and high school sports organization.
Please join me in welcoming Shamus to this new role and OFSAA extends best wishes in retirement to Doug and his family.
OFSAA Executive Director, Shamus Bourdon
