75 Years of OFSAA and School Sport
In 2023-24, the Ministry of Education has approved funding for a special project to celebrate 75 years of OFSAA and the organization’s role in school sport. The focus is on participation and we hope as many publicly-funded elementary and secondary schools as possible will take part.
The first 400 publicly-funded elementary and secondary schools will receive $300 for equipment to conduct “OFSAA Day” on April 24, 2024. Activities can be indoor, outdoor or a combination – the selection is up to your school.
Sign up your school today to join in this special occasion!
NOTE: This OFSAA Day project replaces the Try Day grant for this year.
CRITERIA:
• Majority of student population from all grades participate. Get our thousands of high school students across Ontario involved in fun activities to celebrate this special day.
• Student leaders (minimum of 6) help organize and/or conduct OFSAA Day activities.
• Grant money to be used to purchase equipment to help run your activities.
• Report submitted by May 31, 2024, including photos of your special day
• Conduct low organization games, fun relays, fitness stations, sports contests, mini soccer, dodgeball, frisbee, corn hole, Kam Jam, 4-square pickleball, spikeball, bocce – or any activities you choose!
