Rules of Golf Canada shall govern play at the OFSAA Golf tournaments as per the OFSAA Playing Regulations. Any exceptions or additions will be outlined in the OFSAA Girls’ Golf Playing Regulations.

For golf, effective September 1, 2025, “A student-athlete who has competed in a championship governed by a provincial, state or national body within the past twelve (12) months outside of the high school program, shall be classified as an “open” participant within the individual division. For clarification purposes, please refer to the list of championships provided by the OFSAA Golf SAC to the association convenors and linked on the OFSAA Golf websites at the beginning of each school year.” Please click here for the list.

Q: Are range finders allowed at OFSAA Golf?

A: As the OFSAA Playing Regulations for Girls’ Golf do not explicitly state anything above devices, except for cell phones, we refer to the Golf Canada rules:
Therefore, range finders are permitted at OFSAA Golf permitting the slope function has been turned off. 
Q: Can I use my cell phone?
A: As per the OFSAA Girls’ Golf Playing Regulations, “cell phone use of any kind is not permitted).”
Q: Is the banquet mandatory?
A: As per the OFSAA Girls’ Golf Playing Regulations, “if a special event is arranged all team members and coaches must attend.” The banquet is mandatory for participants and coaches. Please note that additional tickets are not available for guests and only participants and coaches are permitted to attend.
